Hi Anne, When I joined your weight loss plan nine months
ago, I was confused and bitter about lots of different things in my life
- especially my weight. I won't list all these things - the list would be
too long!! - but I can say that with your help I can now see some light at
the end of the tunnel. Your motivation advice especially has been a huge
help. Anyway, I am now 60 pounds lighter and my husband can't stop telling
me how different I am and how much better I look!! This alone has made a
big, big difference to my life and I wanted to say how thankful I am. You
don't know how much happier I am and what a difference you have made to me.

pounds lost so far... I haven't been this weight since my first child was

I am with your vegetarian diet program. Have tried adjusting numerous other
calorie-control diets to fit my vegetarianism and always ended up frustrated
and not a lot healthier. The thing that's so good about your program is that
it is realistic and really easy to follow. I've lost 18 pounds so far by
combining the principles of your program with a lot more exercise and it

last January (2002) and was successful in losing about 50 pounds during 2002
(yes!) Anne, Thank you so much for the response. So far I've
lost 50 pounds, but I still need to lose about 50 more. I used to live in
the UK and weight was never a problem because I walked to the shops or down
the high street. Now, however, I live in my car. I really wish I was in a
more sane place where I could park my car forever, but I am in the Midwest

I really think you have the best value for money in the diet industry! Hi Anne, My husband and I started your diet in May, 2003,
and set as our goal to lose 40 pounds each by the end of 2003. On December
31, 2003, I had lost 41 pounds, and my husband had lost 50 pounds! We are
now down to 148 and 170, respectively, and look and feel great! Your diet
was so simple -- the fast food alternatives really helped us (especially
Subway), because we both work and it's hard for us to prepare lunches. In
retrospect, I think what is especially good about your diet plan is that
we were able to start each day by eating a satisfying breakfast -- this got
us through the mornings without being hungry or snacking. Breakfast is my
favorite meal on your plan. We are now trying to maintain our new weights.
What we have been doing so far is basically staying on the diet, but once
or twice a week eating a heartier, higher calorie meal. It seems to be working

well. Over a 6-week period, Ive lost 17 lbs. and have 12 lbs. more
to go to reach my goal. My husband has lost 20 lbs. and is about half way
to reaching his goal. What I feel really good about is that Im finally
fitting into the clothes I last wore before I got pregnant with my 3rd child
(about 3 ½
years ago) - Ive lost many inches off my waist, hips and butt, and

I'm 43 years old and by regular USA standards, I'm considered "obese" (5ft/2in,
164 pounds (based on my last checkup). Honestly, I don't know how much weight
I lost in the last week and half. I just know that I feel GREAT! My stomach
issues have gone away and I'm sleeping better. I have noticed that my tight
size 14 pants are fitting much better. Although I've been walking on a regular
basis, my energy level has increased allowing me to walk faster (2 miles
versus 1.25 miles in the same time). Best of all, my husband has started
working out with me. I know that I'm committed to this weight lost and I
just want to thank you in advance. I'm learning how to read labels and portion
control (I actually measure everything that I put in my mouth and have cut

I e-mailed you earlier with my situation of hypothyroidism and you advised
me to begin with the 14 day diet and then progress to the 28 day diet. I
am so excited! For the first time in two years, I can lose weight. I have
always been very disciplined, but after two years of diet frustration, I

system around the first of the year. I was already in the "normal weight
range" for my height and build but I decided I was not thin enough for
me. Anyway, I did some substitutions with your menus that I could live with
and used a lot of your help ideas. Well, since I was not overweight to begin
with, it has taken longer for me to see real differences and actually get
the weight off but I have lost 12 lb and at least 1 inch from bust, waist
and hips each. When I went for my mammogram this year, after the tech looked
at the new films and compared them to last year, she asked me if I had lost
weight since last year. (The other women in the room just glared!) We also
just recently changed color of scrubs to wear at work (Doctor's office) and
my old ones were worn out and loose and when people saw me in the new, smaller,
better fitting scrubs, they all commented on how skinny I look now and ask
me how I'm doing it, so I'm singing your praises to everyone! I still want
to lose some more, so I'm not finished yet, but I had to let you know how

3 wks following your sensible guidelines, My weight went down from 202 lbs.
to 194 lbs. and I feel much better already! Calories averaging about 1400
per day. I also do two days of weight/resistance training for 40-min. sessions
and 3 days of step aerobics or power walking for 50-min. sessions, plus I
dance whenever I can! I have cut out alcohol completely; other than that
I just balance things out nutritionally, keeping track of everything I eat

you lose water, but I can tell this is working. I have been satisfied after
